The only 'Sealed for life DSG from VW Group are DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG 2009-2020. They are no more than 192 PS & 250 Nm Toque. so 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 or 1.5 or 1.8 TSi FWD or 1.4 or 1.6 TDI's Then when VW Group do a World Wide Recall or Service Campaign as they did 2012-2014 then they might change the oil. The transmission takes approximately 2.3 liters, or 2.43 quarts of fluid, so you won't using all 3 full bottles. There are two ways to do a transmission fluid change: Measure and replace, or fill to overflowing. Every 60,000 miles or 6 years, whichever occurs firstAir filter element and snow screen: Replace element. Clean screen and housing AWD clutch: Change fluid (if equipped) Every 3 years (AWD only vehicles) 3 years after initial registration, then every 2 years, regardless of Brake fluid: Change mileage No need to be nervous, its just an slightly more elaborate oil change. If you can change your engine oil and filter, you can do this too. Major difference is removing parts to get at the filter (airbox, battery, battery tray etc.). And since you take all this stuff out, it really makes it super simple to do a top fill method of replacing fluid. Draining out gear oil. – Place the catch pan under the gearbox. WARNING. The dsg is awesome imo.I have both dsg and "basic" automatic trans. In two vw's. The basic trans is decent but the dsg is way better. Shifts way quicker , way smoother, and rev matches very well. Its also more compicated with dual clutches and what nots. Ones a basic automatic trans and the other isn't even really a automatic.
