When you re-enable the DLC you won't get it back but it will be available to buy again. When you remove a mod or DLC, the items don't exist any more. The game can only save information about things that exist. So, of course the items are gone from the save. You can't play with Kubota if he doesn't have it.
A: If you set up a savegame as multiplayer (with multiple farms) and then open that savegame in single-player afterward then all the machinery gets reset to one farm. A (2): There's currently also a problem where if servers get disconnected sometimes the savegame reverts to a single-player save game again.
FS19 is on sale for $8 right now on steam, it may be a safe investment to see if you really like it before spending more money. FS19 has a ton of mods available that can really change the gameplay and let you play how want in a lot of ways. FS22 is the newest thing (obviously) and will gain more attention from here on out.

Not tried this in FS22 yet but was entirely possible to move a single player game to a dedicated server, and its quite possible to load a single player map in online coop non dedicated, only real issue was to do with multiplayer having seperate farms and single player does not but it should not be an issue. #3.

Like the other commenter mentioned, it’s almost certainly a version issue. Make sure you both have the same version and make sure they have the same name in your mod folder if you’re on PC. No “(1)” at the end or anything. That WILL mess stuff up.
