Jungle stalkers rely on their power to take down prey. They enter battle with a mighty roar, inspiring allies as they lay into their victims with claws and teeth. They love tummy rubs. — Acht. Juvenile Jungle Stalkers are feline amphibious pets that can be charmed by rangers . General Play. The main focus with this build is to stay alive, and your pets will make up for a lot of damage that you might be sacrificing. I use a Fern wolf and a Blue moa. The Wolf and Moa are both DPS pets. Although not as great as the feline pets in terms of damage, they still pack a punch. There's a trade-off as the more damage pets do, the less health they gave. Rangers do less damage with their weapons than other classes because they have pets to make up for it. So a ranger who ignores their pet does less damage than any other class. And ranger isn't a healing class until you get the druid specialization at level 80 and unlock it.
From Guild Wars 2 Wiki. Pet skill F2 Lightning A human ranger may choose a pet river drake at the biography step during character creation. Pets. Bear:
Juvenile Alpine Wolf. This snowy wolf is at home in the frigid lands of the north. Their howl chills their foes to the bone, leaving them vulnerable to their powerful claws and jaws. Juvenile Alpine Wolves are terrestrial pets that can be charmed by rangers .

Necromancer. Pet/Minion Behavior Control. There really needs to be a behavior control for necro minions. I end up stuck in combat because my minions automatically agro on pretty much anything and everything, so I'm stuck running at half-speed across maps and can't mount simply because I want to be prepared if I do get in an encounter.

Ranger. Pet DPS (golem numbers) - updated. Did some pet dps testing against a small, weak and stationary golem with 25 stacks of vuln. Build used was Skirm/BM/Untamed (zerk gear/pack rune). Signet of the Wild slotted. All boons on the player. WHaO cast on cd.
Untamed does have way higher skill requirement compared to Soulbeast, so it's harder to see the differences. Now a few things why it's better in PvP in comparison to Soulbeast: -Merge doesn't give 1:1 value from losing the pet, so having a pet with improved control makes you way more annoying to handle.
Underwater, shark is probably your best dps. Cats are good dps in core, with useful f2s and the ability to mostly hit moving targets. They also have the highest DPS of core pets for auto attacking. Drakes are good aoe dps pets, for trash pulls and stuff. They are your only auto attack multi target in core.
